ACUMEN MILK LYSIS PCR EXTRACTION REAGENT

Acumen’s Milk Lysis™^M reagent supports a fast, easy, patented method for preparing raw milk samples for PCR testing. Pack includes reagent in yellow-capped ‘Tube A’ and blue-capped ‘Tube B’, each with a scannable label for chain of custody. Each pair of tubes is single-use, with enough reagent to extract DNA from a 1mL raw milk sample and provides enough prepared sample for up to 4, 100-microliter PCR tests. Compared to other DNA extraction kits, Acumen’s Milk Lysis reagent is less expensive, easier (two steps vs 9-15 steps) and provides good results with a minor decrease in sensitivity. Note: this product will not work with colostrum. Equipment needed includes pipettor, pipette tips, heat block and micro-centrifuge, which are all included in the Acu-POLARIS^™.
