Vermont’s Original Bag Balm Skin Moisturizer was created in 1899 to soothe dry cow udders during the long Vermont winters. Today, animals are still some of our happiest customers! Our original formula soothes and moisturizes dry or cracked dog paws and noses, hot spots, chicken combs and wattles, livestock udders, and hooves – and much, much more. A must-have for any four-legged friend!
After each milking, apply thoroughly and allow the coating to remain on the surface. Wash the affected udder and teat thoroughly before and after each milking. Dry with a clean cloth. For use on udders due to calving, high feeding, bruising, or chilling: bathe udder with hot water. Strip out all milk and dry skin with a clean cloth. Apply a generous amount of Bag Balm. Massage gently twice daily or more often if necessary. For pets, apply liberally to the affected area. Do not allow your pet to excessively lick the area after application.
