Y-Tex Python II Insecticide Ear Tags contain a synergized pyrethroid pesticide for beef and dairy cattle (including lactating cows) and calves. They control horn flies, face flies, lice, Gulf Coast ticks, and spinose ear ticks while aiding in the control of stable flies, black flies, house flies, and small horse flies.

These slow-release tags feature a Tri-polymer matrix, delivering a high ratio of synergist to insecticide for effective pest control. PYthon uses a fast-acting, sustained-release S-isomer pyrethroid, making it the most advanced insecticidal ear tag registered by the Australian Pesticides & Veterinary Medicines Authority for Buffalo fly, Cattle Biting Lice, and Paralysis Tick control.

Each tag controls horn flies for 3–4 months, extending to 5 months with two tags per animal in a rotation program. Two tags provide 4–5 months of control for face flies, lice, Gulf Coast ticks, and spinose ear ticks, while one tag aids in face fly control.
