HYDRA-LYTE ELECTROLYTE REPLACEMENT FOR CALVES 18 LB PAIL

Hydra-Lyte Electrolyte Replacement for Calves, lambs, and foals is a nutritional supplement containing a balanced formulation of electrolytes, amino acids, and dextrose specially buffered for young livestock. It readily dissolves in water and is easily absorbed.

Directions: Administer 2 quarts of hydra-lyte solution to each calf or foal twice daily for the first two days. Feed as extra meals while still feeding milk or milk replacer. If the animal refuses milk, feed the solution and resume feeding the milk or milk replacer at the next scheduled feeding. On the third and fourth days, administer one quart of Hydra-Lyte solution mixed with one quart of either milk or milk replacer to each calf or foal twice daily. Lambs will require about one-fourth of the above dosage.

Hydra-Lyte Bulk Pack: The bulk pack contains a bag of dextrose, electrolytes, and a measuring scoop. Prepare a solution by dissolving one measure of each package into two quarts of warm water. Add one level measure of dextrose from the bulk pail to water, and then add one slightly rounded measure of the electrolyte mixture and mix. Do not add the electrolyte mix to the dextrose until the Hydra-Lyte solution is to be prepared. If the electrolyte mix is added to the dextrose and stored, the product may become stiff, discolored, and not easily dissolved. Prepare the solution before use and administer it with an esophageal probe, nursing bottle, or pail.
