CHLORHEXIDINE TEAT DIP 5% 1/2 GALLON

Use Chlorhexidine Teat Dip 5% concentrate to prevent mastitis. Dilute it to a 0.5% solution for dipping. Begin dipping each teat 1 week before the cow freshens. After milking, dip each teat in the solution. Once the cow is dried off, dip each teat once daily for 3-4 days. Wash the udder and teats before milking. If irritation occurs, dilute the solution with clean water for a few days. 

CAUTION: Chlorhexidine may be harmful if swallowed or cause eye or mucous membrane irritation. Avoid contamination of feed. Rinse empty container with water and discard.

Teat Dip is a dual-action solution that helps reduce mastitis in dairy cows. It contains 0.35% Chlorhexidine Gluconate and 0.20% Quaternary Ammonium, is gentle to the teat and skin, and has a deep blue color to identify dipped teats. To prepare, mix 1/2 gallon of Teat Dip 5% Concentrate with clean potable water to make a 5-gallon 0.5% solution.

Use: Daily teat dipping should start 1 week before the cow freshens. During lactation, dip each teat into 0.5% solution immediately after the cow is milked. When the cow is dried off, the teats should continue to be dipped in the 0.5% solution once a day for 3 to 4 days. Dip each teat so that the lower 1 inch has been covered with the 0.5% solution.
